Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!

This little booger loooooves bubbles.
He loves them so much that he tried to eat them.

He loves them so much (and we spoil them so much) that he just got some new Elmo bubbles.
Needless to say, all I heard during bath time was "Elmo" and "Babbal".

As I posted these picturess, Jeremiah pointed at the screen and kept saying "bubbal".
I'm so lucky my baby (yes, he is still my baby... even though he isn't a baby) loves bath time. It gives me 20 minutes of clarity.

Twinsies

As most of you may know, Jeremiah shares a birthday with my dearest friend youngest son, Harper.

Their progression in life is very similar.
When Harper turned over, Jeremiah followed.
When Jeremiah sat up solo, Harper trailed.
Both have weighed the same for most of their life.
They tend to do things similarly.

So, it shouldn't shock me when people think they are twins. Or, better yet, when they see Landon, Harper, and Jeremiah, they assume Triplets
But it does.

Look at these pictures and tell me whose who.

Jeremiah is in the blue and black striped shirt and Harper is in the blue shirt, grey collar.
Jeremiah has a very light complexion considering he is Latin.

I'm hoping they continue on this twinsies path.
Ya, know.
Serve missions at the same time.
Get married around the same time.
Make Kali and I grandma's around the same time.
Haha...

I hope they stay friends forever.

Then and Now

A few weeks back, I got together with a few friends from High school. The 4 of us hadn't seen each other since I got married (almost 3 years ago) and it was time for a reunion. It was so good seeing them.
We were road dogs back in the day. Always together. I would sneak off campus for lunch in Marika's trunk. HA! I drove Katie's 1902 Honda Accord around Morada with her. And at parties, I remember always losing Jaime... maybe it was because she's so short.

We lived off Jack-in-the-box taco's.
Loved going to Tokay's Baseball games with some crazy bread.
Lived off my mix c.d's.
Shopped till we dropped.

(Myself, Jaime, Katie, Marika. 2003)
(Marika, Jaime, Katie, and myself. 2011)

During our school days, we were so carefree. We made mistakes left and right, built life long friendships, and lived life as crazy hormone-raged teenage girls. Life is sure different now. Katie is a mother to 2 gorgeous little baby girls. Jaime has the most adorable son ever. Marika majored in Marine Biology and gets to work with our friends in the ocean and takes pride in not having any children to "tie her down" as she says. Each of us have taken a different direction in life. I'm just glad to know that no matter what, we can get together anytime and still feel that teenage bond.

Let me just say, as much as thing have changed, certain things haven't. By the end of dinner, Marika was for sure feeling the wine. hahahaaa... I was the only sober one in the building. just kidding (but I wouldn't doubt if I was)

If you lived in Lodi, you were either a rich while girl, a mexican who was a gang banger or couldn't speak a lick of english, or your were arabian. And of course, depending on who you were you were treated differently.
I absolutely am not, nor was I, any of the above.
I wasn't rich (still am not..lol), I wasn't white, I was from the ghetto part of Lodi, and I was definitely a minority. I was who I was.
These girls seen beyond the stereo-type's and the discriminations. That's why we're still friends.
I love these girls, and always will.

Not so Fit Mama

When I was in High school, I worked out every single day. Mostly because I had to. I played Basketball, year round. I believe we had the month of August off and during that month I participated in absolutely no physical activity. None. By the time September came around I was already out of shape from slumming it.

We would start practice lightly.  A little run to get us going, shoot 100 3-pointers, tons of free-throws,  3 man weave. The level of intensity grew as we practiced our plays. If we demonstrated any form of attitude or aggravation, we had to run. We were punished. Then, we scrimmaged. If your team lost, you ran. If you messed the play up, you ran.. If you cussed, you ran. If you rolled your eyes, you ran. If you cried, you ran. If you sneezed, you ran.

Beyond doubt, I was in the best physical shape of my life.

That was pretty much 10 years ago.

Now, the most physical activity I get is crawling around on my knee's, playing monster with Jeremiah OR playing the Wii.

I miss my glory days. Basketball was my life.
And I oh so dearly wish I still had that drive to be fit.

In spite of not working out anymore and not being as fit as I was in my teen years, I love my body now more than ever. I gained a new respect for my body after I carried Jeremiah for those long monts and gave birth. I take pride in my body. So, toned or not toned, I'm happy as is. :)

(One of my senior pic's. I love that my jersey is in the back. And would someone please tell me where my eyebrows are?)

Thanks Modern Family

We are avid Modern Family viewers. The show is super comical.
My favorite character is Cameron. He is so hilariously flamboyant.
If you don't watch the show, I suggest you check it out.

Right before tonights episode came on, I asked Eloy to toss me a diaper so I can change the J Man. I lay J down on the couch and begin to unzip his p.j's. I unbutton his onesie and notice it's little wet on the sides so after changing his diaper I start to take it off. I pull the shirt up, take his right arm out then place it right back into his p.j's. As I'm putting his arm in his shirt I feel something pricking me in my sleeve. I drive my hand in my sleeve to see what's poking me a find my earring! Eloy tackled me right before he tossed me the diaper so it must have came off then. After finding the earring, I proceed to look for the backing. I stand up, un-zip my sweater and it falls out. I put my earring back on and sit back down to enjoy my favorite show. :)

Meanwhile, Eloy is standing in the kitchen chomping on some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Whenever either of us are eating Jeremiah's 6th sense kicks in. He can smell the food in the air. Jeremiah runs over to Eloy and screams at him (The scream is his way of asking someone to share. Nice, right?!?). Eloy looks down at him and shouts, "Babe, what the heck did you do to my kid?".

I'm not sure if you noticed it, but i failed to mention that I finished getting Jeremiah dressed... correctly. I was distracted. Yea, I promise i pay attention to my baby and little details. Obviously, not tonight. He must have rolled off the couch and ran away. He won the battle, but war.

(Mommy's handsome half-dressed baby)

(J's Baby GQ pose?)
(Cookie + Jeremiah= Happy Boy)

(Buddha Baby? He's showing us the cookie is in his belly)

Thanks Modern Family.

I'm a Mormon

Sound familiar? I left to go to Jo-ann Fabrics and when I got back Eloy showed me this.
He thought I might like it. :)
Sure did.
Her chubby little daughter is so cute. Gotta love those cheekies! <3

I love how the Church puts these videos out. It shows people, non-members of the Church, that Mormon's are regular too. We're not some crazy "cult" or "secret society" that has 7 wives per husband and 20 million children (ouch). We are normal.

I want to make my own "I'm a Mormon" video. A day in the life of a Mexican Mormon. LOL!

Here's how mine would play out:
I'm a stay-at-home mom.
I work with an elderly woman. We call her Nana. :)
I attend school part-time.
I joined the church when I was 19.
I'm addicted to my Iphone.
And I'm in love with music.
I'm indecisive
I'm Half Mexican/ Half Guatemalan
I love Calla lilies.
I'm spunky.
Obsessed with Comedy.
I love my poodle.
I love my husband; he was made for me. :)
I adore my son; he's my panda man.
I love my savior.
My life is not that exciting.
My name is Andrea
and I'm a mormon.

P.S- I love her shirt.

Jeremiah and Lizzy

When Jeremiah was 4 days old, his Tia Rosie came to visit and brought him his first stuffed animal. A green lizard. I'll admit it, when she handed it to me I thought my J man was a little too small for stuffed animals. Nonetheless, I put the lizard in his bassinet and he slept with it by his side, most of the time. As he got bigger, we played with this lizard and finally named it "Lizzy". I tried changing "her" name to a "he" name like Lenny or Leonard but a boy name just didn't fit this lizard. So, I guess you could say J has a girl toy. Hey, at least it's not pink.

We've all grown to love Lizzy. She's the only one J will give kisses too... open mouth kisses. When all he could do was just lay there and smile, he would lay there and smile at Lizzy. He loves to hug here. And she still sleeps with him. She's apart of the familia now.

(J with Lizzy when he was 4 months new)
 (J with Lizzy tonight)
(Pay no attention to the drool :) He is his mothers son)

Gotta love Photo Booth!

We just bought our first Mac Book Pro... And we are obsessed with it.
I love iChat. Seriously. My sister, Raquel, lives in Arizona so I'm totally taking advantage of the webcam on this baby. We iChatted last night for over an hour. Good times. <3
The best part of our chat was changing the effects while chatting with her. lol!

So, if any of you ever want to iChat/skype, let me know! :)

Todays wish list

So, I have a very short, simple, and sweet wish list.
Here it is:

Toms
It's not a need, nor a want... they're a necessity!

San Francisco Zoo

Life has been pretty busy lately. Eloy is always at school and since we live on campus he feels like he is literally always at school. When the weekends hit, he's ready to leave. It doesn't matter where we go, he just doesn't want to be home. Since the weather was gorgeous this Saturday we decided to head to the bay area and take our little monkey to visit his cousins at the zoo. :)
I was surprised how nice the Zoo is. And yes, I'll admit it... I was WAY more excited to be there than the rest of the kids running around.
Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me so all the pics below were snapped with my iPhone. They aren't of the greatest quality but pretty dang good for a phone!

Jeremiah was in LOVE with the Giraffes
I love zebras. But I hated how they like to poop freely in front of me. That was No Bueno!

This monster kept pacing back and forth like he wanted to jump out and attack the crowd. SCARY!

And my favorite of all time, the penguins!
